Hand-picked by Pamela Liebman and Tresa Hall, Paula Busch joined The Corcoran Group in 2001 as Managing Director of the company's Carnegie Hill office. In one short year, she quadrupled the revenues in Carnegie Hill and subsequently was promoted to Senior Managing Director of the company's flagship Eastside Office. In her current position, she oversees the day-to-day operation of Corcoran's largest office and the work of almost 350 agents, bringing her twenty years of real estate expertise to both customers and staff in an accomplished blend of know-how and professionalism. Under her leadership, the Eastside office shattered all records and became the most successful residential sales office in American real estate, with gross sales volume in 2006 of $2.6 billion.
Before joining Corcoran, Paula held directorships in management for some of the city's most famous real estate companies. At Milstein Properties/Douglas Elliman, she ran the Bristol Plaza - the highly-regarded residential hotel on East 65th Street - supervising everything from sales to finance to human resources. In addition, she was an essential element in the sale of Milstein's residential brokerage division to Insignia-ESG, Inc. Prior to her career in real estate, Paula was owner and partner of the Word of Mouth on the Upper East Side, where she directed what would become a $2 million per year gourmet take-out establishment.
A long-time resident of New York City, Paula has two daughters, Amy and Carrie, and a granddaughter, Emma. Paula's rare free time is spent taking in theatre, going to the movies, or curled up with a good book.
